P1 Teachers To Be Prohibited From Teaching. A new suggestion about the adjustment of the minimum entry criteria level for individuals seeking to become teachers has been presented by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

According to the most recent proposal, the P1 Certificate Level for teacher candidates will be entirely eliminated by TSC.

The commission now requests that all teachers hold a Diploma Certificate as the entry-level qualification in the most recent proposal.

This will be the minimal prerequisite for anyone wishing to receive training to teach at the ECDE level as well.

TSC, Commission states that all candidate teachers must receive at least a C in English and a D in mathematics.

In addition to this ,TSC wants to have to aiming to become teachers to have score a minimum of C- in English subject.

The commission has defended this move saying is that it aims at improving performance of candidates in the national examination.
