TSC Reschedules Interview Dates. Recently, the Teachers service commission advertised promotional vacancies for teachers across various job groups. Quite a number of teachers applied and the lucky qualified ones have received interview messages.
The commission has listed the qualified candidates for the promotion interview process. The listed candidates are specifically for Senior Master IV, Advert 54/2023 promotion.
The much anticipated interviews were expected to be held before the year comes to an end. However, they have been rescheduled to January 2, 2024 and will run all through till 16th January 2024.
The above information has been relayed to candidates through the invitation messages and letters sent to them.
UPDATED LIST OF DOCUMENTS TSC APPLICANTS MUST PRODUCE IN PROMOTION INTERVIEWS
- Original National ID card,
- Academic and professional certificates
- Appointment letters,
- Subject results from the last three years’ KCSE examinations,
- Performance appraisal reports from 2020 to 2022, and other relevant testimonials highlighting their performance.
The interview applicants have been advised to stay calm, be keen as the commission keeps adding additional requirements for the process. The most commonly asked questions will be provided to help the applicants be aware and prepare enough.
The information to be provided will be helpful to Principals, Heads, Deputies, Senior Masters, and teachers’ promotions.
In addition to that the commission has given an opportunity for promotions to 36,275 Teachers across various job groups. The interested teachers were given an opportunity to apply via the TSC portal.

Promotions are given fairly to all qualified teachers. TSC is a corruption free zone and there will be fairness and equity to all applicants who will be eligible.
Applicants who have received messages for promotion interviews have been advised to visit their respective TSC county offices for their letters. The letters will be crucial as they will be required during the interview process.
Candidates are advised to check on the new Scoresheet released by TSC. They will be evaluated on a number of issues and they must attain at least 50% and above to be promoted.
