TSC Promotion And Regret Letters. This week, around 150,000 primary and post-primary school teachers who were shortlisted and attended promotions interviews in December and January will begin receiving their TSC promotion and regret letters.
Nancy Macharia, the CEO of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), disclosed specifics about their promotions.
Teachers who attended the interviews, whether they were successful or not, will receive letters, according to TSC.
Promotional letters will be given to those who do well in the interviews.

Additionally, in order for their promotion to be completed and for their posting to be made available on several stations, they will need to submit five completed Chapter 6 paperwork.
The five documents that are mandatory inline with Chapter six of the Kenyan Constitution which centres around leadership and Integrity include a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations cost which costs 1,050.
Teachers will also be required to have a clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board which is issued Free and also have a tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority that is also free.
Successful teachers will also produce a clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission given Free and also a Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau issued at a cost of 2,200.
Also regret letters will follow to teachers who were not successful after the interviews.
TSC has further indicated that those teachers who get issued with regrret letters are eligible for promotions application in future adverts.
TSC declared a total of 36,505 promotion slots meant primary and post primary school teachers in September 2023.
Later, teachers were invited for interviews for primary school teachers from 4th to 15th December 2023.
On the other hand, those in Secondary school and Teacher Training College (TTC) teachers were invited for interviews which ran from 3rd to 16th January 2024 and were completed.
