Ministry Starts Inspection In All Schools On KPEEL Status. A significant technical team, under the direction of a few high-ranking government officials, has been assigned to verify the facts and conduct an inspection and assessment of the Kenya Primary Education Equity in Learning (KPEEL) program’s effects in schools throughout the nation.
The Ministry of Education‘s Directorate of Projects Coordination and Delivery will visit a few of the sampled schools to assess the progress of the four-year KPEEL program, which was introduced in 2022.
This activity is scheduled to travel to several schools over a period of ten days.
The KPEEL initiative was started with the goal of lowering the regional differences in learning outcomes that were then present and increasing the retention of girls in upper primary education.
The program further ensures strengthened systems at the national level to ensure learning for all across the country.
According to the KPEEL Project National Coordinator Martha Ekirapa , this monitoring exercise which was under the fourth implementation support mission is expected to be conducted in at least 13 counties .
The exercise started on March 20 and will be completed on 29th March 2024.

School administrators are advised that Performance for Results indicators will play a major role in determining how the Sh480,000 funds under the 22022–2026 KPEEL Program are distributed.
This implies that the accomplishment of particular outcomes in schools as determined by unique indicators following an inspection will be a prerequisite for the continuation of KPEEL financing in the future.
