TSC Promotion New Documents Required. For primary and post-primary teachers who participated in interviews in December and January, TSC promotion letters will soon be arriving.
Dr. Nancy Macharia, CEO and Secretary of TSC, has previously stated that this week will see the beginning of the promotion letters.
A shortlist of more than 100,000 teachers was selected to participate in TSC promotion interviews.
TSC Promotion New Documents Required
Only 36,505 promotion letters, however, will be distributed in accordance with the TSC September 2023 promotion advertisement.
Teachers who attended the interviews but were not selected will get regret letters from the Commission.
Those successful will be issued with promotional letters and will be required to submit five Chapter six documents to complete their promotion and allow their posting.
Below are the five documents that are mandatory inline with Chapter six of the Kenyan Constitution on ‘Leadership and Integrity’.
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) cost 1,050/-
- Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) cost Free
- Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) cost Free
- Clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) cost Free
- A Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) cost 2,200/-
The Commission advertised a total of 36,505 promotion vacancies for primary and post primary school teachers in September last year.
The interviews for primary school teachers were done from 4th to 15th December 2023.
Secondary school teachers and Teacher Training College (TTC) tutors had their interviews running from 3rd to 16th January 2024.
