In reference to a communication addressed to the County and Sub-County Directors, the commission has required that details about instructors who are currently working in job groups C4 and C5, but are not performing administrative tasks, be given.
Likewise, the heads of the institutions’ schools have been asked to send the names of their teachers who are now teaching in C4 and C5, but who are not serving as the heads or deputies of the schools, as soon as possible.
Letters of Promotion from TSC
TSC currently intends to provide promotion letters to classroom teachers in job groups C4 and C5, allowing them to transition and take on the roles of deputy and headteacher, respectively.
Thankfully, it has come to light that a large number of classroom teachers who are currently part of these job categories have already received promotions to head and deputy positions.
The employer of teachers views the promotion of classroom instructors working in these job categories favorably since it will reduce the expense of paying higher salaries for school management.
A number of educators who participated in promotion interviews are eagerly awaiting word on their promotion status.
While some of their secondary school colleagues participated in the same procedure in January 2024, a number of primary school teachers attended the December 2023 promotion interviews.
Following document submission, the commission made a total of 150,000 teacher shortlists to compete for the 36,505 advertised promotional positions.
All interviewees will receive letters from the Commission.
Successful teachers will receive letters of promotion, and failing teachers will receive letters of regret.
