TSC P1 Deployment Letters To JSS. The Third Batch of Qualified PTE (P1) Teachers is scheduled to get deployment letters this month, May 2024. This is according to a TSC announcement.
6000 teachers will be assigned to classrooms right away, according to TSC. This will be after a thorough review of their paperwork by the Sub-County Directors.

The TSC voiced worry earlier this year in January 2024 on the serious teacher shortage junior secondary schools are facing.
Chief Executive Officer of TSC Dr. Nancy Macharia acknowledged the gap. She stated that schools currently have 56,928 teachers. This is compared to a need of roughly 99,045 instructors.
The commission announced 6,000 deployment spots for primary school teachers. It was for those with a secondary choice degree as one of the steps to solve the shortage.
TSC P1 Deployment Letters To JSS
The deadline for these educators to apply online was March 18, 2024.
According to TSC, successful teachers will begin receiving posting letters early this term. They will work in the junior secondary school sector.
Teachers who meet the requirements had until March 18, 2024, to apply for the deployment. This was according to the Commission.
Consequently, deployment letters will be sent to primary school instructors who applied to be deployed to JSS and who meet the requirements to teach in secondary schools.
Sub County Directors and Primary Headteachers who release and receive deployed teachers must take immediate action after the teacher receives their deployment letter. This is in order to expedite the payment of their salaries.
It is anticipated of the County Directors to start publishing to the Sub-County the Entry or Exit Reports Module and publishing.
The P1 teachers’ letters to JSS will then be posted by the TSC Sub-County Director.
According to TSC, the entry and exit procedures for deployed teachers must be completed online as the Commission no longer accepts or processes casualties in hard copy.
