Double Promotions For The Following TSC Teachers. The 2024 Teachers Service Commission (TSC) promotions program is expected to benefit a number of teachers, particularly the P1 instructors, twice over.
Information reveals that a portion of the elementary school teachers who participated in the December 2023 interviews and were granted promotions are probably eligible for a second opportunity, as TSC has announced 6,000 deployment spaces.
When deciding who will be sent to junior school, P1 teachers with degrees who were successfully added to the list of 36,505 promotion spots will also be taken into consideration.
Note that while advertising the deployment slots, TSC indicated that it is only serving primary school teachers with degree in secondary option are legible to apply for deployment by 18th March 2024.
TSC advertised a third phase of promotions of the PTE teachers qualified for posting them to serve in junior secondary school section starting early second term,2024.
Among other mandatory requirements that the teachers must meet for deployment to Juni schools include having an active registration as a teacher with the Teachers Service Commission, as being a primary school teacher under permanent and pensionable terms with the Teachers Service Commission .
TSC further requires that the applicants have a minimum of a Diploma in Education with a minimum of C+ at KCSE (or it’s equivalent) and on top of this , be having a minimum of C+ in two teaching subjects.
Those teachers who did the old system of education but have upgraded must have two (2) principles and one (1) subsidiary pass at A Level.
Double Promotions For The Following TSC Teachers
Every teacher is also expected to have completed at least 8 units in each of the two teaching subjects also not currently serving an interdiction or undergoing a disciplinary process.
TSC further clarified that instructors who have taken the initiative to pursue a Diploma in Education and get a Bachelor Degree in Education are eligible if they have at least a C plain at KCSE (or its equivalent).
Only teachers with a degree certificate that is a Bachelor of Education are eligible; those with a Bachelor of Education (Primary Option) are not.
