TSC Shortlisted Candidates For January Promotions. The Teachers service commission advertised several promotion posts for teachers. Qualified and interested teachers applied and are awaiting news regarding their fate.

The good news from the commission is that final touches are being done to post all the shortlisted teachers for the promotions. Information from reliable sources indicate that the lists shall be posted on the official TSC website as from tomorrow.

Once the commission finalizes on publishing the names,  invitation messages will begin streaming in. The invitation messages will be sent to shortlisted teachers in their inboxes.

Additionally, the shortlisted teachers who applied for the promotions can get access to the lists on the website and download them. The lists will indicate the specific interview dates, specific time and location for the interviews.

• Senior Lecturer,
• Deputy Principal III,
• Curriculum Support Officers,
• Head Teacher,
• Senior Master IV,
• Deputy Head Teacher II,

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

For appointment to this grade, a teacher must: –

i. Have served as Senior Teacher I T- Scale 8 for a minimum period of three (3) years;

ii. Have satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal;

iii. Have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers;

iv. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution; and

v. Meet any other requirement the Commission may deem necessary.

Candidates working in hardship regions are eligible for promotion from one job group to the other after serving for two years .

2. Original Academic and Professional Certificate
3. Letter of appointment to the current grade
4. Letter of appointment to the current post
5. Analysed individual subject results in KCSE examination for the last three years, certified by TSC CD/SCD
6. Performance Appraisal Report for 2020, 2021, 2022
7. Any other relevant testimonials supporting your performance.
