TSC To Pay Increased Salaries To Promoted Teachers. May 7, 2024 marked the start of the Teachers Service Commission‘s (TSC) payroll preparation procedure for the 36,504 newly promoted teachers.
These teachers will get pay increases following their grade-level transfers. With 2,500 files being handled on every day, the commission hopes to finish updating the promotion of the instructors under its payroll by June 15, 2024.
A memo, dated 7th and signed by M.A. Sango, the interim director responsible for Human Resource Management and Development, instructs all unit heads to make sure they have completed at least 75% of the cases that are due by the end of May.
“Given the strict timelines, there is need to fast-track the increase of promotion IPPD Authorized Data Caprure Sheets. This will enable us promote at least 75 per cent of the cases due by closure of May 2024 payroll,” reads the memo in part.

The commission disclosed that 80 per cent of the promoted teachers through Advert No. 46/2023 to 69/2023 to various grades ranging from C2 to D5 were retained in their current stations.
“It is important to note that all the promotions have to be effected on the payroll on or before June 15, 2024,” reads the memo further.
