TSC List Of Newly Appointed County Directors. The successful candidates for the 13 director positions, which will be assigned to county and regional offices, have been announced by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Recently, the Commission conducted interviews with more than fifty Sub-County Directors (SCD) and Deputy Directors who had applied for the roles.
The selected candidates will now advance from job group P to R. Education News has learned that a significant portion of the candidates for promotion were TSC headquarters deputy directors and field personnel.
Milton Oyugi, the Kericho County TSC Director, Erick Magak, the Vihiga Deputy Director, and Carol Nandi, the Migori Deputy Director, are among the individuals who were elevated from the field..
Also promoted is Everlyne Chemjor who is the current Tongaren SCD in Bungoma County and Catherine Nairoshi who is the Kikuyu SCD in Kiambu County. Before her deployment to the field, Nairoshi was formerly serving as a public relations officer at the headquarters.
Those promoted from the headquarters include Peter Njeru who is serving at the staffing directorate along with counterpart Fredrick Mwaniki who also served at the same department.

Cecilia Nyawira who is stationed at the Teacher Professional Development (TPD) directorate also benefitted from the vertical movements along with Kioko Daniel who currently is serving at the Discipline Department.
Also promoted from the headquarters is Evans Esese who is serving at the integrity division, Dr. Catherine Warui who is also drawn from the TPD Directorate, and David Mukui from the Discipline Department.
He was transferred to the TSC secretariat’s discipline section after serving as the county director of Machakos.
Additionally, Fatuma Mursal, who has been working in the Research and Innovation division, has been promoted.
The Commission posted job advertisements for 13 Deputy Director-Teacher Management jobs in February of this year. These positions are at TSC Job Grade 5 and were made possible by the Commission’s adoption of its revised Career Progression Guidelines (CPG) for Secretariat employees.
The jobs are for a five-year renewable term, with benefits including a basic monthly salary of Ksh192, 782 to Ksh288, 051, a home allowance of Ksh50,000, a commuter allowance of Ksh16,000, and thirty days of annual leave per calendar year for those nominated.
