TSC New Recruitment Documents For Employment. To address severe personnel shortages, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has implemented new recruitment documentation and procedures.

Although they will be paid less per month than permanent teachers, TSC will use both pensionable and permanent intern teachers to work alongside current employees as part of the aforementioned strategy.
The TSC requires nine specific documents from the TSC intern instructors who are applying to teach in elementary and secondary schools.
Every teacher hired through the internship program has a one-year contract, and they are all encouraged to apply for permanent positions whenever the TSC posts job openings.
Prospective interns must meet a number of standards outlined by the TSC, including the following:
- being under 35 years old
- having personal accident insurance coverage
- being available for the duration of the contract.
The Qualifications for graduate teachers.
The graduate teachers applying for these positions include :
a minimum mean grade of C+ (plus) at KCSE
with at least a C+ (plus) in each of two teaching subjects or two (2) principals and one (1) subsidiary pass at ‘A’ Level.
Additionally, teacher candidates must possess a Bachelor of Education degree with two teaching subjects, or as well a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in two teaching subjects.

Furthermore,teachers should also be Bachelor of Education degree holders with a mean grade of C Plain and C Plain in two teaching subjects at KCSE.
TSC also states that those who have completed a Diploma in Education or relevant A level courses, may also be eligible
For Diploma Teachers
All the applicants must have a minimum mean grade of C+ (plus) at KCSE.
They should also have an equivalent of at least C+(plus) (or credit pass) in the two teaching subjects .
