TSC Official Confirmation Date Of 46K Interns. The government has now challenged the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to provide a clear timeline for the confirmation of Junior Secondary School (JSS) intern teachers into permanent positions with pensions.
Speaking at a Form Four motivational speech and prayers in Nandi’s Aldai Constituency, National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee Chairperson and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro stated that the government has already set aside cash for the same.
Ndindi declared that 46,000 JSS teachers can now be hired with a sum of Ksh.18.7 billion.
As per to the committee chairman , it is high time for TSC to provide clarity on the confirmation dates and stop the evident behavior of shifting target dates.

Nyoro asked TSC to announce the official communication on when they will confirm the JSS intern teachers into permanent and pensionable terms .
He said that this is important since it will help the teachers to actually know and budget on the date.
Nyoro also highlighted on the issue of funding for higher education as leaders asked the government to review the model that they say is disadvantageous to needy students.
This event also used the opportunity to express their heartfelt condolences following a tragic incident at Hillside Endarasha Academy in found in Nyeri county which claimed lives for 18 pupils.
It was reported that the government has begun investigations and those found culpable are to face the full force of law.
However, as pertains to confirmation of the intern teachers, there are news indicating it will happen as from 19th October. Teachers will begin receiving PnP letters that will be effective as from January of 2025.
