TSC Boss Now Set To Leave Office For Retirement. The succession plan for Dr. Nancy Njeri Macharia, the Secretary and CEO of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), would be of interest to many when she retires from her job.
The statements state that Dr. Macharia will take a terminal leave of absence beginning in March of next year. This will be while she waits to officially retire in June of 2025. She will now create space for a succession contest.
Following rumors last year, TSC clarified whether Dr. Macharia was supposed to depart her position when her contract expired or when she reached the necessary retirement age.
Dr. Nancy Macharia is a state officer, as described by TSC commission Director of Legal, Labor, and Industrial Relations Mr. Cavin Anyuor, who provided clarification on the matter.
TSC CEO Macharia had reached the age at which she was required under Public Commission retirement laws to retire. The retirement age is sixty years old.
