List Of Deployed P1 Teachers To JSS. The third batch of qualified PTE (P1) instructors to be assigned to junior school classrooms will begin receiving deployment letters in May 2024. This is according to a plan issued by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) next month.
6000 teachers will be assigned to classrooms right away, according to TSC. This is following a thorough review of their documents by the Sub-County Directors.
Nonetheless, the Commission will carefully review the paperwork at the main office to make sure that only certified educators have been assigned with legitimate documents .
The TSC voiced worry earlier this year in January 2024 on the serious teacher shortage junior secondary schools are facing.
Chief Executive Officer of TSC Dr. Nancy Macharia acknowledged the gap. She stated that schools currently have 56,928 teachers, compared to a need of roughly 99,045 instructors.

The commission announced 6,000 deployment slots for primary school teachers with a secondary choice degree as one of the steps to solve the shortage.
The deadline for these educators to apply online was March 18, 2024.
According to TSC, early in the upcoming term, successful teachers will begin receiving posting letters to work in the junior secondary school division. The commission is in the process of preparing the letters and will be ready to be published in the website anytime
Teachers who meet the requirements had until March 18, 2024, to apply for the deployment, according to the Commission.
Consequently, deployment letters will be sent to primary school instructors who applied to be deployed to JSS and who meet the requirements to teach in secondary schools.
Sub County Directors and Primary Headteachers who release and receive deployed teachers must take immediate action after the teacher receives their deployment letter in order to expedite the payment of their salaries.
It is anticipated of the County Directors to start publishing to the Sub-County the Entry or Exit Reports Module and publishing.
The P1 teachers’ letters to JSS will then be posted by the TSC Sub-County Director.
According to TSC, the entry and exit procedures for deployed teachers must be completed online as the Commission no longer accepts or processes casualties in hard copy.
In situations where the instructor is kept at the same station, the head of the institution is supposed to withdraw the instructor from the elementary school and turn in the updated JSS Entry Report.
Keep checking the TSC website as the list of successful teachers is set to be published soon.
