P1 Teachers Deployment To JSS. The p1 teachers who submitted their application to Teachers Service Commission (TSC) for deployment consideration to junior secondary school should start preparing their documents for highly anticipated exercise.
During the announcement of the 6,000 slots , TSC indicated that P1 teachers to be deployed to junior school are expected to be posted as the second term starts.
Thus opportunity will give teachers who missed their chance during the first and second deployment to get slots for only those who made applications after the Commission allowed fresh applications.
All the qualified P1 teachers that are to be deployed will teach Grade Seven, grade 8 and grade 9 learners in junior secondary.
TSC will also issue an official communication on process of document verification and posting of the teachers by TSC Sub-County Directors after they received lists of successfully applicants .
Among the qualifications for those to be deployed include;
a.being in possession of active registration as a teacher under the Teachers Service Commission.
b.currently being serving as a primary school teacher employed with the Teachers Service Commission
C. currently not to be serving an interdiction or undergoing a disciplinary process.
d. Owning a Diploma in Education with a minimum of C+ at KCSE (or its equivalent).
e. Having minimum of C+ in two teaching subjects currently being offered in the school curriculum .
f.Alternatively having two (2) principles and one (1) subsidiary pass at A level.
P1 Teachers Deployment To JSS
Teachers with C (Plain at KCSE or an equivalent with a Diploma in Education together with a Bachelor Degree in Education too are legible.
During awaited vetting, these are the TSC recommend documents for P1 teachers to carry .
i) Teacher’s original and copy of the degree/diploma certificate
ii) Teacher’s original and copies of the academic transcripts.
iii) Teacher’s original and copy of SNE qualification (for those with alternative needs).
iv) Teacher’s original and copy of the KCSE certificate (an equivalent too accepted).
v) Teacher’s copy of the current payslip.
vi) Teacher’s declaration letter by the Head of Institution that the teacher is currently serving in the school and has not bad records.
