In the recent handing over exercise conducted by the Rongo Sub-county Director of Education Duncan Odhiambo at Kanyawanga, Mbogo, the outgoing head, thanked parents, teachers and students for the support they accorded him during his administration at the institution.
The departing principal addressed the student body, saying, “We have grown together in building our school and now I handover to my brother here and I urge you to give him similar cooperation as you did to me when I was steering the affairs of this school.”
In a phone interview with Education News, Migori County Director of Education Jacob Onyiego discussed the changes, calling on school boards to provide the new principals with their full support. He described the school head rotation as a standard practice.
