KUCCPS Issues Short Notice To All 2023 KCSE Candidates. On Wednesday, April 3rd, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) sent out a notification. It was sent to prospective Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) holders in 2023.
The body gave them a full day to register for post secondary courses at different universities and colleges.
In order to highlight the urgency, KUCCPS announced that the application portal would end on Thursday. This, thereby eliminating chances for additional education.
The statement explained that applicants who completed their KCSE examinations between 2000 and 2022 are eligible to apply. They can apply for diplomas, certificates, and artisan courses. They can do it through the KUCCPS portal which offers them limited accessibility.
“The application portal closes today, April 4, 2024. Log in to students.kuccps.net and apply for degree, diploma, certificate, and artisan courses,” announced KUCCPS.
The degree programs that the KUCCPS has listed are only open to few applicants. They include those who passed the 2023 KCSE with a grade of C+ or higher.

Certificate courses are offered at colleges, polytechnics, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions. They are meant for students who scored D (plain) and D- (minus).
Additionally, Students with a C (plain) and C- (minus) are eligible for specific diploma courses. The remaining students might apply to different TVET institutions for KUCCPS artisanal courses.
In addition, Students who received a C+ or higher in a year other than 2023 are still eligible to enroll in degree programs. However, they must apply directly to the university of their choice.
Under this plan, they will not be qualified for government scholarships. Nevertheless, they are still able to apply for loans from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
