TSC Announces Thorough Scrutiny Of P1 Documents. The P1 teachers’ deployment documents must be submitted by March 18, 2024. Thereafter, they are anticipated to be thoroughly examined by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
The TSC site was made available so that P1 teachers who fulfill the requirements could apply to be considered for deployment to junior schools. The junior schools are currently experiencing a severe teacher shortage.
6,000 deployment slots were made available by TSC to primary school teachers. The teachers are those who are currently employed there on a permanent basis. Applicants with a secondary degree are also encouraged to submit their applications through the TSC portal.
There are two junior school classes at the moment: Grades 7 and 8, which don’t currently have adequate teacher graduates.
According to TSC’s plans, teachers who are selected for deployment will arrive at their new stations early the next term.
TSC Announces Thorough Scrutiny Of P1 Documents
The Teachers Service Commission intends to hire an additional 20,000 intern teachers in order to help alleviate the anticipated teacher shortage before grade 8 students transfer to grade 9 in 2024.
Beginning early next term, the 6000 positions that are currently being offered will represent the third group of competent PTE teachers to be assigned to junior school classrooms.
Selected teachers will be shortlisted for document verification by their Sub-County Directors. In addition, they will subsequently be assigned to schools after TSC reviews the teachers’ paperwork at the headquarters.
In order to guarantee that only eligible instructors with legitimate documentation are given the opportunity to be posted to junior schools, careful examination of the submitted teacher documents at the headquarters will be done.
Teacher Shortage in Junior Schools
The teacher shortage in junior schools remains a problem that TSC is working to solve. Currently, 99,045 more instructors are needed than there are teaching positions, which stands at 56,928.
Both B5 and C1 teachers should take advantage of the available slots as they will not only affect their pay increase but also advance their careers.
