How The Listed Teachers Lost In New Phase TSC Payrise. Not everyone is happy with the new TSC Payrise. Reason being, others have nothing to complain about after the first TSC and union salary phase.
Certain educators within certain groups grinned broadly as they cashed in their new pay each month. It’s because of what they received as a result of signing a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Kenya National Unions of Teachers (KNUT) and Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the teachers’ employer, signed the first part of the Teachers wage hike CBA.
The Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers (KUSNET) and the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) are among the other parties to the important agreement.
Five teacher job groups —C4, C5, D4, and D5—became losers following the new wage evaluation under the CBA. This is because they did not obtain pay increases.
Additionally, teachers earning sh sh52, 308 and sh62, 272 for grades C4 and C5, respectively, continued to be paid.
The incomes of those in grades D4 and D5, respectively, are still sh114, 242 and sh131, 380.
