Govt Announces 46000 TSC Teachers Employment Slots. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will get Sh26.3 billion from the government, according to an announcement, in order to hire 46,000 qualified teachers.
The head of the National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee, Ndindi Nyoro, announced this plan and stated that TSC will hire 26,000 junior secondary school teachers who are now completing internships.
In order to alleviate the existing teacher shortage in junior secondary schools, Nyoro announced at the official launch of the Wundanyi Constituency NG-CDF strategic plan on Saturday that an additional 20,000 intern teachers will be hired beginning in July.
To improve educational standards, the Ministry of Education received the largest portion of the 2024–2025 budget for the first time.
According to Nyoro, the ministry of education sector was slated to receive 27% of the budget for the year beginning July 1, 2024, in the 2024–2025 budget estimates.
According to Nyoro, TSC will get funding in July 2024 to provide 26,000 JSS instructors who are currently hired on a contract with permanent employment.

Additionally, he said that TSC plans to hire 20,000 more teachers in an effort to close the gap that many schools are now facing.
The politician gave the people confidence that the Kenya Kwanza administration is eager to devote a larger portion of the national budget to education.
He said that this would be a component of initiatives to help Kenyans afford the high expense of sending their kids to school.
