TSC Employment Of P1 Teachers With C Plain. According to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Primary School (P1) teachers who received a minimum of a C grade on the KCSE are eligible to apply for the Junior Secondary deployment slots that have been published.
However, in order to be eligible for deployment, these teachers had to complete both a Bachelor’s and a Diploma in Education.
Regretfully, TSC claims that teachers who completed a Bachelor of Education (Primary Option) and have a minimum C plain do not qualify.
Teachers are eligible to apply if they also hold a minimum of a Diploma in Education and have earned at least a C+ in both KCSE and two additional topics that are part of the curriculum.
The above teachers are also required to have done a relevant Bachelor of Education Course and with a minimum of 8 units in each of the two teaching subjects.

The Teachers service Commission declared 6000 slots for PTE teachers who qualify for posting them to serve in junior secondary school section starting early next term.
Advertisement from the commission requires teachers interested and qualified to apply for the deployment by 18th March.
Those submitting applications are required to be having an active registration as a teacher with the TSC and also being employed as a primary school teacher.
The P1 teachers are also required not to be currently serving an interdiction or undergoing any TSC disciplinary process.
Verification Process Requirements
During verification, the teacher candidates are expected to produce original and copy of the degree or diploma certificate and also give original and copies of the academic transcripts.
Teachers will further be needed to give original and copy of the KCSE certificate , a copy of the current payslip as well as a declaration letter by the headteacher showing evidence that the teacher is servicing actively in the school .
Note that the teachers with disabilities will be required to present original and copy of SNE qualification.
