New TSC Revised C3 Salary Increment. When teachers accept C3 roles after being appointed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), they should be aware that there are allowances associated with the promotion.
These stipends are meant to increase their financial stability as they carry out the tasks assigned to them.
Because of this, C3 teachers are qualified for various allowances, each of which has specific requirements and advantages.
House allowances are paid to teachers under C3, and they are divided into four main clusters based on the teachers’ geographic location.
The following are the payable allowances:
(Nairobi city) under cluster one
For the teachers stationed in Nairobi, their house allowance is sh. 28,000.
The payment is high following higher cost of living in this metropolitan area.
Mombasa city ,Kisumu city , Nakuru city ,Nyeri, Eldoret, Thika, Kisii, Kitale, and Malindi all under cluster 2.
The above are popular urban centers, that warrant teachers house allowance of of up to sh. 22,000 per month.
TSC pays these teachers following a varied living expenses in these strategic locations.

Other Former Municipalities under cluster 3
The cluster covers all the former municipalities which are not covered in Cluster 2 and here the teachers receive a house allowance of sh.16,500.
Note that the allowance is paid upon considerations made on specific economic dynamics of these areas.

As per to TSC , Teachers working in areas not covered by the above three clusters receive a house allowance of sh. 14,055.
The payment is made following the diversity in living costs across different regions.
Other additional Allowances
Teachers under C3 teachers are eligible for several other allowances, that are designed to cater to specific which include professional and personal lives.
Monthly Hardship Allowance
Several C3 teachers working in challenging working areas such as those in remote or hostile areas qualify for a hardship allowance of sh12,300 monthly
The payment is made as a means of acknowledging and compensating the extra challenges they encounter
Monthly Commuter Allowance
TSC commuting expenses incurred by teachers,is normally given at the rate of sh 6,000 per month.
The payment is made so as to cater for the financial burden that is associated with daily travel to and from the workplace.
Yearly/Annual Leave Allowance
C3 teachers get an annual leave allowance of sh. 6,000 for purposes of teachers’ rest and recreation.
The money is meant to support teachers in reenergizing themselves during their time off.
Monthly Disability Guide Allowance
It is given to C3 teachers at the rate of allowance sh 20,000 per month for teachers with varying abilities.
The money above is intended to make up for the extra assistance they require in order to carry out their responsibilities.
