KUCCPS New Changes To Ongoing Application Of TVET Courses. Regarding payments for applications for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has provided clarification.
The agency warned against using mobile money codes as a form of payment in a statement released on Thursday, stressing the significance of submitting applications using only the official KUCCPS account number.
The organization underlined that TVET application fees must be made using the specified account number, even though the rationale for this directive was not made public.
KUCCPS New Changes To Ongoing Application Of TVET Courses
“To submit your TVET application, please use the account number that has been provided for payment.” According to KUCCPS
KUCCPS recently opened applications for TVET courses, targeting students who completed their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams between 2000 and 2022.
The deadline for submission is set for January 2024 to facilitate the placement process into various schools.
A total of 494,317 students who scored a D+ and below in the 2023 KCSE exams are eligible to join Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions and artisanal schools for pursuing a certificate or diploma of their choice.
Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has consistently advocated for students to acquire practical skills through short courses offered by TVETs, emphasizing that such skills empower students for self-employment.
How to Apply
Applicants seeking a second chance can apply via the student portal at students.kuccps.net.
The process involves keying in the necessary credentials, selecting a preferred course from options provided by government institutions, listing them in order of preference, and submitting the application.
