Additional admission spots for 29 courses at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) have been made available by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).
The placement service said on Sunday, November 3, that the application was available on their official website through November 10.
Nine certificate programs and twenty-one diploma programs are available, dispersed across various locations across the country.
Depending on the course they are applying for, all students with a mean grade of C or C-have opportunities.
Some of the courses include Certificates in Community Health Assistant, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Emergency Technician, Medical Engineering, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, and Public Health which all require a mean grade of C-.
A certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics is also available to those with a mean grade of D+. A diploma for the same course is also available for those with a mean grade of C-.
All the other diploma courses available are for students with a mean of C plain and some of them are available in only one campus.
They include a diploma in Community Health only available in the Mosoriot Campus, Health Promotion only at the Nyahururu Campus, Kenya Registered Nursing at Mathare, Orthopaedic Technology at Port Reitz, and both Mortuary Science and Radiography and Imaging only at the Mombasa campus.
15 others are available in fifteen other county campuses across the nation.
Interested applicants have been encouraged to apply through the KUCCPS students portal according to the announcement.
Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) invites applications for placement in various programmes offered at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Interested and eligible persons should log into the KUCCPS students Portal (students.kuccps.net) and apply,” the statement said.
“The application deadline is November 10, 2024.”
