KMTC Extends Application Deadline For Courses. The application deadline for people interested in pursuing medical studies has been extended by the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), and it is now March 4th.
Following a furor among applicants and guardians regarding technological issues with the portal, Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) issued a notification on an indefinite extension of the application deadline, which KMTC then declared.
At the moment, Kuccps offers a number of medical training programs, including Preservice Certificate and Diploma programs as well as additional Inservice Upgrading and Higher Diploma programs.
Mary Muthoni, the principal secretary for public health, stated on Wednesday that the application period for the KMTCC’s March 2024 intake is now open.
Muthoni assured the students that KMTC is committed to working closely with KUCCPS to ensure timely placement of Preservice students
In a notice, Muthoni indicated that the deadline for Preservice courses has been extended to March 4, 2024 .
She added that for those applying for Upgrading, for Higher Diploma and other Short Courses, their applications will remain open until the required number of applicants is achieved based on course capacity.
KMTC Extends Application Deadline For Courses
Reporting for the in-service students are expected to report starting March 12, 2024.
This is according to the notice which indicated that the College will issue admission letters to this group of applicants with an anticipated reporting date of March 12th, 2024.
Note that the reporting date for subsequently placed students will be guided according to the instructions provided in their admission letters
All the preservice courses applications are done through the KUCCPS portal at http://student.kuccps.net
Those applying for Inservice courses applications, they should do it through a KMTC admissions portal at http://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke
There are a total of 69 universities, a total of three Secondary Teachers Training Colleges under kuccps placement.
Also there are a total of 226 Technical and Vocational Education and Training and Kenya Medical Training Colleges campuses are available for student choices under the 2024/25 placement
