Government Set To Start Paying Salaries Twice A Month. The government has declared that it will begin paying milk farmers salaries every 15 days. Alternatively, twice a month, in order to recognize their agricultural endeavors.
In a Monday, April 8, 2024, speech during a tour of the Eldoret National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) outlets, President William Ruto said that this action will empower farmers.
Ruto announcing this change , he promised farmers that starting July 2024,they would start receiving payments every 30 days unlike in the past .

The head of state further said that the payments will be made promptly on a every end month just like salaries.
Ruto did, however, pledge that his administration will move on with plans to pay farmers every fifteen days.
Ruto claims that the farmers would be able to purchase animal meals in addition to other milk production inputs thanks to this bimonthly payment plan.
The president went on to denounce the current situation in which cooperatives are keeping farmers’ salaries pending for up to two months.
This move by the president will be good for the farmers. This will in turn motivate them and ensure they produce more.
